Training Schedules

Please find links opposite to download the training programmes.

They are split up into how many times a week you think you'll be able to run. The programme goals are set in times not distances, you'll soon get to know how far you'll get in 30 minutes or an hour, so you can base any time predictions for the marathon on these.

Make sure you only do as much as you think you can, these programmes are a guide only, so feel free to tweak them to suit you if you like. You should just be sure that you are making steady progress throughout the 16 weeks.

Where we have laid out the speed sessions like this sample, we mean to run 1 minute, then walk or jog to recover for one minute, then go again, repeat as many times as the instruction suggests.
